NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Chargers have made inquiries to the Dolphins regarding Jason Taylor.

We're not quite sure where he'd fit with Shaun Phillips and Shawne Merriman already at OLB, but GM A.J. Smith can never have too many good players. The teams also have a history of dealing (i.e. Chris Chambers, Cleo Lemon, and A.J. Feeley). The Dolphins' asking price around the draft was a second-round pick. San Diego would probably be an ideal landing spot in Taylor's mind

hell,i'd do it for either a draft pick or a player for player trade.

This might be the ideal situation. The Chargers don't mind trading picks, plus it is the closest JT can get to Hollywood with an NFL Team.

Zomg Jt For Chambers Straight Up!!

:woot:

So much for the theory that Boss Sparano's putting the hit out on Big Pu$$y would ruin the Dolphins' leverage in trade negotiations. One day and already a bite on the hook.

Taylor for a 2nd or Taylor for Vincent Jackson. Either way, I'll take it. Let AJ and Norv deal with the Dancing Queen.

It definatley takes a way any leverage the fins have in trade negotiations, the main reason the chargers called was probably because the trade value went from a 2nd around pick to a 2nd day pick.

It's like If I like a shirt thats $100 and I obviously wont pay that much, i'll wait til next season when its out of style and get it 75% off, the chargers are just trying to hit the 75% off rack here.

If you say so. The best offer the Dolphins got was a 4th rounder from the Jaguars and most teams probably wouldn't even do that, they vowed to just wait for the Dolphins to cut Taylor. Now the Dolphins are flexing their muscles, giving the impression they'd rather force him into retirement than cut him or give him away for a song. Sure enough, Chargers come calling. The Dolphins essentially called everyone's bluff.

LOL , yeah, tell them we want Chambers back (reasoning: the front office at the time was full of retards)

During the time of the draft and any time before it it was unforeseeable that taylor being cut was even a possibilty. Parcells even came out and said the only way JT won't be a fin is it hes retired. If someone ever wanted JT it would have came out during the draft and there were a few teams interested but it never happened.

I'm sorry but I think your theory that teams were waiting for the fins to cut taylor is just way off, the fins never intented to out right get rid of JT if they got value for him they would think about it, but i dont think any team would think the fins would outright cut him.
