Merged: comparison culpepper/brees

This Is The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Welcome To The Board

I don't like this article because Daunte will not be a Fin. There is just no way. All the speculation is false and by the end of the evening Culpepper will be a Raider. By the end of the weekend Brees will probably be a Dolphin.

Stats compared culpepper/brees

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/133263 culpepper

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235197 brees

their stats are similar i would say dc's look better but there about the same and he is alot more soild compared to brees. brees is pretty small compared to other qb's besides dc's injury i personaly think that culpepper is the better option even though he cannot thorw until somwhere in october but he also is a probowl qb when he had a desecent WR when he lost moss he had no one good to pass it too with chambers and or other wr unit i think we could have a good thing going there but this is just my opinion

And how do you know this for sure?

WHY? Take Brees... Why would we want a qb that wont be healthy till mid season.. At least brees will be ready by may.

those are great finds. I still think Brees is the way to go, you said it yourself, DC might not be ready til fall! Think, why would we trade for, or spend that kind of money on a guy that might not be ready if ever. I know Brees arm isnt in top condition right now, but he will be better. I have to go with Brees. Good find

Cannot play till October is the number one reason we don't get him. Nick knows this team is good and can contend next year. Signing Culpepper would simply mean we are planning on preparing for the future and that is certainly not the case.

On the other hand, Culpepper did have guys to throw do. Nate Burleson, Koren Robinson, Troy Williamson and Kelly Cambell IMO is a good recieving crops. Even when he was 100%, he had a terrible season. 6 TDs 12 INTs in what was it 5 games? Yuck, not too good, reminds me of a guy named Ray Lucas.:shakeno:

Did you really just compare Daunte Culpepper to Ray Lucas?

:shakeno:

I love how everybody wants to judge Daunte on five games instead of his lst full year... when he had the 6th best season EVER for a quarterback... and that was without Moss quite a bit. His numbers were better without Moss, actually.

Ray Lucas. Sheesh. I gotta go VIP.

Who I would like to see on The Dolphins Next Year.

LB- Ben Leber
CB- Kenny Wright
CB- Charles Woodson- 1yr or 2 yr somehow see how it goes
C- Kevin Mawae
FS- Chris Hope
QB- of course Brees, but if all else fells Matt Schaub

Draft
1st- Chad Greenway or Eric Winston or Ernie Sims,
2nd- Antonio Cromartie
Get Jacobs or Croyle in the 3rd

I don't know if we would see continued mobility out DC. Chambers excelled under Lineahans system and I wish we could see the continue kind of play we saw during the 6 game win streak to close the season...BUT think about it. We did that with many good QB's in a rotating system.
