Terrell Owens has finally pushed the Dallas Cowboys too far, drawing a $9,500 fine for missing a team meeting and a rehabilitation session and being late to an offensive meeting, The Dallas Morning News reported Sunday.

“That’s our club business. That’s going to be accounted for,” team owner Jerry Jones told the newspaper.

The incidents occurred Friday, the team’s final day preparing for a preseason game against San Francisco. The Cowboys beat the 49ers 17-7, making them 3-0 this preseason without Owens playing any of the games because of a hamstring injury that’s also kept him out of 19 of 31 practices since the start of training camp.

Neither team officials nor Owens’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, immediately returned calls to The Associated Press seeking comment Sunday.

During a postgame television interview, Jones did not mention the fine but answered several other questions about Owens. Jones said his only concern with the receiver is “injury, not all this other stuff you hear about.”

TO fined 9500 for missing meeting

ESPN says TO been fined 9500 for being late to a meeting. Thought i post this because many of us wanted this guy on our team including myself.Looks like the problems are just starting with this guy :shakeno:

Personally, I hate T.O. Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing player. Frankly, he is way too self-absorbed. If he did not carry so much drama with him, I would love to have had him on the Dolphins also. LaTa!:dolphins:

That's a lot of money for being late to a meeting. Being late for a meeting usually doesn't result in that big a hit.

There has to be more to it that that, or more leading up to it.

Got my answer....

Terrell Owens, who has missed 19 of 31 practices since the start of training camp with a strained left hamstring, missed a team meeting and a rehabilitation session and was late to an offensive meeting Friday.

"That's our club business. That's going to be accounted for," owner Jerry Jones said at halftime of Saturday's 17-7 win over San Francisco.

Owens was fined $9,500.

When asked if there was any problem between Owens and the club, Jones said, "We're going to be fine."

Several sources said Owens has been fined for being late to multiple rehabilitation sessions.

Owens could not be reached for comment. He did not attend the game, which is not unusual for injured players in the preseason because coach Bill Parcells doesn't like players who aren't playing to be on the sideline.

Cut him Bill, show some balls and tell Jerry Jones that TO is a mistake.

Gotta buy your own food to cook the meal

And if they can't swing a deal for someone like Deion Branch, we've got plenty of receivers who won't make the cut. Was the Herald I think that said we'd already talked to Dallas about WRs. And they had two scouts at the Carolina game.

After TO and Terry Glenn, they've got Patrick Crayton's 22 receptions and that's all.

I was suggesting that it would be by week 4 of the season till the cancer takes over, looks like Turd-O is gonna prove me wrong...week 4 of pre-season is more like it.

Where are all those that said we should've mortgaged the team to get this idiot on our roster.....

By the time he actually gets it figured out, its gonna be too late and he will be way past his prime...

Just remember, you can polish a turd, but all you end up with is a polished turd....

I really thought that TO would be an angel this season. With his background, I really thought that he would okay, but.............

I know that a hamstring is a bad thing, but this just might be his way of getting out of practice. I can live with that, but missing meeting and ect., I can't buy into that.

I thought the same thing. I asked my wife (who knows little about the NFL) how long she thought it would be before TO became a problem in Dallas. Her response was "third game." She didn't specify regular or preseason, and you could debate whether or not he has become a problem yet. However, it looks as if my wife is closer to being on target than I. :shakeno:

Yea, if Uncle Bill can't control him, then no one can. If TO stays next season, I can see Parcells saying bye-bye to Mr. " I will show you who's boss" Jones.

Parcells doesn't need this crap.

maybe not, but I'm real glad he's being made to eat it....and the iceing on the cake is Jerry in his arogance brought it on himself, couldn't leave well enough alone. I was hooting at TO on the bike wearing team America clothes, I knew the testing had begun and things would only get better from here on out. Fatcells still stinks like a jet and now he's added the cowboys stench so I really hate him. It is KILLING him to take this crap from a punk and I love every second of it....when you are a millionaire already, how much does your dignity cost...ol' Jerry sure is pulling the strings...

If the Cowboys cut Terrell Owens, god, I don't even know what other team would actually try to give him a chance. I think this could be a career ending situation if Terrell doesn't behave.
