Linehan - Dave Ragone Quote

Recent Linehan quote regarding Ragone:

“One of my all-time favorites... Dave’s one of those guys who basically gave me everything [he had] and that’s basically what I preach: the effort and giving it your all. He’s a great example of somebody who got the most out of his abilities and will continue to get better at this level. Once given the opportunities, he’s going to really blossom. There aren’t many better people in this world than that kid.â€Â

Would have to be a player for player deal. I do like Dave Ragone

Whatever Happened to Dave Ragone?

Dave Ragone came out of Louisville about 3 years ago. He's a big strong lefty, 6'3" and 225 pounds. He had a record setting year in NFL Europe 2005 completing 62.9% of his passes for 13 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. He set a record by going 174 pass attempts without an interception.

The knock on Ragone out of college was that he tried to force too many passes into tight spots, and his decision making skills came into question. Obviously, it is something he worked on while in Europe, and he turned a corner in his decision making. I wonder why there hasn't been any talk about him as a possible trade target for QB needy teams?

Think he is on Texans Roster. 3rd string..no stats in 2005. Restricted FA this offseason.

I wonder what level he is tendered by the Texans. I bet we hear more about him as we approach the free agent period in March.

Alright. I thought I was the only one in the Dave Ragone fan club! Who knows if he ever pans out but I loved his game in college.
