Garrard to get his shot ......

For those Garrard fans, you are going to see him get his shot because Leftwich broke a bone in his ankle and is out at least a month.Leftwich Out a Month He has a chance to step up and impress a few teams in search of a QB. Oh and Chris Simms, who I have been high on for a while is playing pretty well in TB. Now I know most of the replies to this thread are going to be "No more backups" but these two are guys that are playing behind pretty good Qb's.
 
simms isnt going anywhere in tampa...while garrard could be had, but who wants him...
 
Im not saying that he is the answer, Im just saying that there are alot of people on here that want(ed) him. Now he will show everyone whether he has what it takes. Personally I dont want him, but if he plays very well he may be an option.
 
As of yet he is unproven, but we will know a lot more after these next few weeks. He's jumping in right in the thick of a playoff race, so if he performs well....

Especially since last year's asking price was a first rounder.
 
I wanted Simms in the draft a few years ago.....He was a pick that greatly slid and i never really understood why as the Raw talent was obvious to anyone that looked. Also i could see future QB troubles brewing as our 11-5 facials started to deteriorate.....(what the hell am i talking about, my world puzzles are getting ridiculous)

This was my point, and the reason for the thread. At this point he is still a backup, but if he plays well particularly in the upcoming weeks against Indy he will warrant a look.
 
possible trade...

instead of going after david carr, why dont we try 2 get david garrard? i think hes got the arm stenghth and he seems as smart or smarter than byron leftwich, so i think we should try 2 trade sam madison for him, i think this would work because garrard is only a back up for the jags and they could use a corner, what do u guys think?

I think David Garrard is pretty underrated Ive always liked his athleticism
 
what do you think the Jags are stupid give up a young QB that was a very good back up for and Agging CB that has 2 picks in 2 years.
 
That would never work. Maybe Madison and a 2nd for Garrard. But the Jags wanted a high draft pick offseason and after going something like 5-1 as a starter, his stock only raised.
 
NO WAY... asking price will be redicilous... just stop right now... look at my sig, thats who we need in '06 with Gus as #2 and our drafted rookie as our #3...
