Reggie Wayne?

Any news about Reggie Wayne?? I must admist that I like him a lot better than Givens... Some quality dept in our receivercorps wouldn't hurt at all!

I wouldn't be suprised if the Colts resigned him. He seemed to be catching everything on Sunday.

The Colts will resign him. Harrison isn't getting younger and Wayne actually caught more balls this season.

I'd love to see us sign Givens, as long as the price is right. He's a really underrated receiver.

As for Reggie Wayne, he'd be great too, but with all of our other needs, I can't see us paying him the kind of money he'll command. Plus I don't think Indy will let him go. Harrison, Wayne & Stokley are vital parts of that offense.

Givens is a better value than Wayne. He's a strong, physical receiver who I'd love to see here as a complement to Chambers.

i think wayne is gone to the highest bidder (imo we won't flip the bill), he made himself a lot of money this year. as for givens, he'd be a nice addition, he's a heck of a ball catcher- a good hands guy to complement a game breaker like cc.

You guys have to understand that bringing in a receiver like Givens is going to cost money and we dont have to do it. The receiving core and the D line were the best parts of the team this season. We need to use that money to get other players like on the secondary and a QB.

I don't think that we need to pay for Givens. He did great in NE, but who didn't when it was their turn to shine (minus Saturdays game.) The offensive chemistry is just beginning to take form with who we have. Not that he would be a bad pick up, but that $ could be better spent. If there is to be a new WR in the mix, let it be Gilmore, Welker, Gibson, etc. If our gaol is to gel together as an offense to the state of near flawlessness (ie NE in the 21st century) than we must do as they did and make great recievers out of less than average names. Just my 1 1/2 cents.

Givens might be more manageable under than cap than Wayne. Wayne has benefited from having a great passer throwing to him, but if all things were the same, I'd take him over Givens. However, we wouldn't be hurting either way....I just see upgrading the WR spot as behind our needs of CB, S, OL and QB.

I disagree. Your point would be more valid if it were Reggie Wayne, but David Givens hasn't done enough for any team to break the bank. This team will have a decent amount of money under the cap, and there's also the draft to fill needs. And while the WR corp is pretty solid, a good coach/personnel man never assumes anything.
