Merged: Deion Branch traded.........

Now, I'm rooting for Seattle to make it to the SB ... so the Patsies get the lowest or 2nd lowest draft pick possible.

I read an article last night that Chad Jackson is back to camp, fully recovered from the hamstring pull, playing "catch up" and according to the game stats, he wasn't active in the Buffalo Bills game. I'd expect him to get some reps in Week 2 against the Jets.

Deion Branch is good, and was pretty serviceable, but he is not a game changer nor a difference maker. Chad Jackson will be everything Deion Branch was and MORE. We're talking about amazing, future super star talent here. A big body, with alot of speed, and great hands. Terrell Owens type without the mouth.

Tom Brady will miss his favorite target, but not for long.

A first for him is crazy. Sorry.

Glad he is out of NE and leaves Brady with one less weapon.

Belichick reminds me of someone playing Maddena nd trading someone away of no-need to his team for a first rounder and stock-piling draft picks to make that dynasty run.

Deion Branch to the Seahawks

Just saw this off of the NFL wire:

ESPNews reports the Seattle Seahawks have acquired WR Deion Branch from the New England Patriots in exchange for a first-round draft choice during 2007.

The New England Patriots ended the holdout of receiver Deion Branch on Monday by trading him to the Seattle Seahawks for a draft pick. Branch was entering the last season of the five-year contract he signed as a rookie. He held out of the mandatory minicamp in June and all of training camp. He has been subject to a $14,000 fine for each day he holds out from July 28, the start of training camp.

So now the Patriots officially have no receivers on their roster...OK, that's not true, but they do have a big lack of WR talent.

What does all this mean for the Dolphins? Any comments?

The Pats are going to have some ammunition going into next years draft. Two first round picks can do alot for your team and will probably go toward fixing the defense or giving the o-line some more talent.
