he was actually one of the highest-paid OGs in the league. he signed a deal similar to Steve Hutchinson a couple of years back. i love how that moves costs the Bills 5.4m against their cap AND creates a whole along their OL.
 
isn't that the guy the Bills signed a couple years ago from the Redskins? If so, I said it was a bad signing then and they tore me to shreds.

Luckily, I'm not one to gloat.
 
Dockery is actualy a good starting LG. They payed him too much money is why he got cut. If we signed him he would def be a starter and he won't come real cheap. I'd rather have Brown to create more versatility on our line. If we can't get brown I wouldn't be opposed to gettin dockery at a smiley type deal. Though if they have any faith in Smiley opr Thomas I don't see it happening.
 
With Smiley and Thomas in the as our guards, I can't see us making a play for him. Brown is likely the only free agent offensive lineman we will make a play for.
 
Players want to play for Miami these days. We may be able to get him at a bargain price. It is worth a shot.

depends on what your definition of bargain is . . . Bargain to Dockery may be 7 million a year LOL, ok 6.
 
they released him to make space forbrown according to one source.

the source said they might do that cuz they want brown now its official cuz they did cut him.
 
There are two advantages of signings guys that were cut rather than UFAs.

1) They dont count in the distribution of supplemental picks (so now, if we lose YB, Gibril doesnt count as a player "signed" and we likely get a pick in next year's deep draft)

2) They usually sign at a quasi-discount, because they still get paid by their former team.
 
Lets sign Jason Brown first. I want to see if Thomas can develope into a Premiere RG in this league. Plus you have Samson and Alleman who can both play C/G
 
I think Samson gets traded if we sign Jason Brown. If they believe that he is too small to be a center, IMO they consider him too small for their scheme overall.

Perhaps a trade to Cam Cameron and the Baltimore Ravens to replace the newest Dolphin (former Raven) Jason Brown?
 
I doubt we trade Satale. His versatility makes him a premier backup at worst.
