When several players meet this weekend for an informal barbeque as a prelude to Monday's offseason workouts, one Dolphins veteran could find himself trying to rekindle a few relationships for the first time in seven months.

Defensive tackle Manny Wright, who left the team last training camp after a disagreement with former coach Nick Saban, is expected to arrive in South Florida today to attend the event, his father said Friday.

since saban is gone maybe manny won't :boohoo:

he is just a big kid, alot of us were not that mature at what 21 years old, yeah he has issues, but who doesnt, the problem is all his issues are in the paper, when our youthful misgivings were not, saban was the wrong guy for him, obviously he does not have alot of confidence or he would not have broke down and cried, he has a ton of talent, maybe the softer side of CAM is the right fit

Im not optimistic at all about that cry baby.

He broke down and cried NOT because he's a big baby it was because he has severe clinical depression. Let it go already people. Manny is a Miami Dolphin. Support him for crying out loud!!!

Good news.
Hopefully he can come back and play for us this season.

Hopefully he can recover from his depression. Playing football games is of very much less importance to him than his mental wellbeing. Here's hoping he can get better soon.

And I suppose you have never broke down? If you haven't, you have never seen the worst the world has to offer. When and if you ever do it's a rude awakening.

As for Manny, I hope he does return, he has the skill to play NT in the NFL and gives us another youg DL filling a need.

Well said.

I had a cousin who lost a battle with depression. Greatest guy you could ever want to be around. He was the party-starter and everyone loved him. I use to ask him "Why do you hate yourself so much when everybody clearly loves you so?" He never had an answer for me. Maybe he'll have one by the time we meet again.

Clinical depression is a horrible disease. I'm rooting for Manny Wright the man, to root for the player will be a bonus.

If he'll play and make his presence felt for 16 regular season games, then all is forgiven. Play like he did against Buffalo and he'll win back some fans.

I hope he can conquer his inner battles, I understand his problems with depression and satan, but now he must give back to the dolphins. no excuses!
