Randy was a fired up monster during games last year. If you think about it, we really have no standout captain on offense other than Chambers. I wouldnt give it to rookies and I wouldnt give it to first year players either. I can understand the argument for Gus cause he is a vet, but I dont think he starts every game this year.

Its pretty sad when other than Chambers, you cant think of another standout guy to be your offensive team captain. Ricky? :lol: Ronnies a rookie, Randy should be it, Booker seems too quiet, no one on the Oline deserves it, and the other guys are all blah.

I think Booker still would have been a decent choice. Still, saban has to at least give the appearance his on-field QB is a leader
 
The players themselves voted Gus a team captain. Perhaps it is a good thing that they are recognizing his leadership role and rallying around him. I hope the team unity pays off in wins. If he plays awful and gets benched I'm sure the team will be able to handle a change in captains.

Just to add: Per Saban each player had a confidential ballot when chosing these picks. Very democratic voting system.

agreed gus is a shi*ty qb (From preseason looks)
 
My dog Ricky-Rick Will-dog is the team captain. Hes this teams' emotional leader and their pot hook-up. Pot hook-ups are popular in the locker room.
