Palm Beach Post said that Sammy Moris is confident in his abilities.
Dolphins running back Sammy Morris makes his living on special teams - the home of the proud and mildly deranged - but he's no dummy.
He's heard the reports that the Dolphins have talked with the New Orlean Saints about running back Michael Bennett since Ricky Williams went to play in Canada. And word also has gotten to Morris that fans and critics alike think the Dolphins need to findy somebody other than Sammy Morris to back up starting tailback Ronnie Brown.

Morris, who is admired by teammates for his leadership and special-teams prowess, had a respectable 4.0-yard average when he surpassed the 500-yard plateau while platooning with Minor during Williams' absence. That production gives Morris, 29, the confidence he can be an every-down back should Brown be injured.

I think he will do a good job backing up Ronnie but if Ronnie goes down we will need some more help fast.

Sammy's just fine.

It was just 2004 where he was the main back and averaged 4 yards a pop behind the worst offensive line in the history of man-kind.

He's no Ricky Williams, but we don't need a Ricky Williams.

#23 is gonna blow UP this year yall.

If Ronnie stay healthy Morris is only going to get 5 to 10 carries a game.Im cool with him getting that many carries a game but if Ronnie gets hurt and we have to give Morris 20 to 25 carries a game.I would hope we would try to get someone else to carry the load.I dont feel good about a Morris and Minor duo.We did that already and we all no how that turned out.

We did that with a crappy OL and Jay Fiedler as starting QB. Don't know if you've noticed, but we have a better OL, a Pro-Bowl FB, and a Pro-Bowl QB now... Makes a little difference, IMO...:D

Sammy will be fine starting if he needs to...
