As a DT I would guess. We are in a division with strong running games and/or fast-paced offensive attacks. You can't have too many good defensive linemen in this division...

If we are playing any sort of hybrid defense he is going to be critical... im interested to see what the dollar figures are after Pouha's deal... thought pouha's were a little low.. maybe soliai wasnt going to get the big numbers on the market he hoped for (wishful thinking that we got a lower figure)

You're joking right? Gardner was not even 300, Soliai is probably close to 360?

I don't Think were switching to a base 4-3, I think it was all talk just in case we lost both of them, and for negotiation purposes.

We spent a LOT of time and resources building this 3-4, would make 0 sense switching to a 4-3 now.

Yeah, there goes all the money we saved with Marshall. Glad to have him back, but don't want to spend too much on a guy that plays 2 downs. Will be interestig to see just how they use him this year.

I was worried about the effect that not having Marshall would have on whatever QB we bring in (or even Moore, if we fail at what is our proclaimed public goal). But I'll worry a lot less knowing that whoever it is, they will have Soliai to throw to in the red zone.
