MERGED: Dolphins re-sign Soliai to 2 year deal

12 mill over 2 years seems fair, considering he only plays in half the snaps. I expected more guaranteed money though
 
Guess he sould of took the deal from last year. Time to fire his agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I know people are upset by the last few days but this is clearly a good move. He was a huge part of our run defense and this will give us te flexibility to put out different looks on defense next year.

On that note, do we even know for sure that the Fins are looking to go 4-3 or was that just a twitter report? We all know how reliable those are...

I think you're correct. But, even if he did play at 300, you would still be correct about how he was used. Him and Bowens were used to keep the interior line off of Zach so he could flow to the ball. Any sacks they got were an added bonus, but not their job. The Ravens ran a similar system with Siragusa and Sam Adams keeping blockers off of Ray Lewis. Stating that Soliai is a bad re-signing because he can't get to the QB is short-sighted and ill-informed. On obvious passing down, he won't be on the field...
 
that is one hell of a deal... only 1M more than Pouha got. i think his was 3 years 15 million... IMO this is a steal
 
Glad to have Big Paul back in a Dolphins Uniform!!! He is a big part of why the Fins finished in the top 5 in run defense the past 2 seasons!!! I hope somehow Langford is able to re-sign as well .. although Highly Doubtful ...

Brilliant! That's what we should be doing, building one of the scariest D's in the league.
Ravens have been a perennial top team for a decade+ due to their amazing Defense. Whether they have a legit offense or not. The D carries the franchise.

I wish there was any way possible to get Mario Williams. Makes me nauseous to think about the Jills possibly getting him.
 
I think Soliai would Beast it up as a 1-Technique as well.

He's quick for his size, super powerful, almost impossible to move, and will be a terror in either a 3 man front or 4 man front.
