Just saw John Clayton in ESPN reporting that we absolutely got a steal in Manny Wright for a 5th rounder. He expects to see us be able to groom this guy into something good in the next few seasons.

man what a steal im just glad we didn't have to give up a 3rd or fourth for him. He's big 6'6 fast 4.8 in the 40 and fits right into our DT tandem and in the near future

5th round is a freakin' steal in my opinion. And we had two 5th rounders any way.

What a freaking steal!!!!!! We get Wright for what might as well be a 6th rounder......since we will be picking 32nd or 31st after going to the SB this year.:D
On the down side though, isn't Wright another one of these guys with a checkered past?? Have we brought in ANYONE who hasnt been in trouble with the law?? We have some good players but we have to keep our fingers crossed that the wheels don't come off. We may end up having to make a "The Longest Yard Part 3" since all of our players may end up in jail.

Although I am praying for the best this is really a gamble. This is a classic boom or bust type. Bench pressing 250 16 times tells me he won't play this year. He is probably a project who we are hoping to put in next year. If Saban can get this guy to play up to his potential then he is one of the best motivators out there. Let's hope it works out
