The Dolphins have landed a Broncos player. Just not the one you're thinking. DT Ronald Fields, a seven-year vet, will sign with Miami.

dont know who it is...

seems like a guy just for depth/back up nothing else doubt we gave him more then a 1 year deal.

Depth behind Soliai it appears. Will be competing with Chris Baker, Frank Kearse and Johnny Jones for the #2 NT spot. He did start 16 games for the Broncos in 2009.

This is definitely a Mike Nolan signing. Nolan coached him in San Francisco and Denver, and now he comes to Miami? No coincidence.

Might be a sign Randy Starks is on the move? We didn't need d-line depth unless we plan on moving somebody in a trade. And Starks has been asked about by a lot of teams (Including Denver in the Orton talks)

Just throwing it out there

Worked with nolan in the 3-4 at denver in 09, seems like a solid and much needed backup for soliai

Wouldn't be shocked. He has big value and the Dolphins are STACKED across the defensive line. Though if you do trade Starks, you better have a contract extension lined up for Langford.

With this signing and the re-signing of McDaniel, it really does look like Starks will be on the trade block.

Denver's defense was a sieve.

So the pattern continues.....

OC from CLE
QB from CAR
DT from DEN

Who's next, the video guy from the Pats?!?!? LOL

And Denver had a top 10 defense 2 years ago with Fields as a starter and Nolan as the DC.

As for Fields, he is an ok depth guy but not a starter. He's a guy Nolan has loved for a long time
