Dolphins signed RB Ray Perkins and OL Jonathan Ingram.

Ingram is a practice squad type who's spent time with Kansas City in previous seasons. Perkins was with Cam Cameron in San Diego for a period and will battle Jesse Chatman and Patrick Cobbs for a spot.

Ingram has played Guard and Center for KC line. Perkins was with the Chargers during the Pre- Season and I dont know aything about him.

sounds like cam is preparing to draft mostly olinemen and dlinemen . this runninback class has lots of player but most are a 4 th and 5th rd guys.

The Dolphins also signed Mike Rosenthal along with Ingram and Perkins on a tryout basis.

Ray Perkins is 5'10 about 205.

In high school he ran the 100 meters in 10.51 and the 200 meters in 21.8

He was all SEC as a kick returner is freshman year before being expelled, for reason not revealed.

His senior year at SE Louisiana, he gained over 1100 yards despite Hal Mumme's pass happy offense.

When has Cam uttered those sounds?

We do need OL, but Dlineman we have plenty. There are young guys like Fred and Manny and Rodrique who will pssibly all make the team this year. Will see what happens come draft day. Just remember one of our picks goes to a QB.

Perkins sounds like a change of pace RB, we need that. Ingram can provide depth as the backup center.

If both have any talent and can perform that removes two needs from the draft - RB and C. Both are young and probably free of past injuries.

On the surface these guys are for depth only. If they can surprise and make an impact in camp god bless them. But won't be holding the breath underwater for it to happen.

1st Round: Best Player Available
2nd Round (1st Pick): OL, QB or WR
2nd Round (2nd Pick): OL, QB or WR
3rd Round: OL, QB, WR, or DL

Allow me to make a change here. 1st round BPA with emphasis on OL, WR, or QB. Normally I would just put down BPA. But with our holes on offense Mule-Cam may be in a pickle where a BPA on defense may have to be looked past in order to get the best possible WR, QB, or OL available. As far as 3rd round may want to put down TE instead of DL.

ray perkins?

hey there,

does anybody know more about the recently signed ray perkins than what has been written in the palm beach post...

"Perkins, a 24-year-old undrafted free agent from Southeastern Louisiana, spent the past two seasons on the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers when Cameron was the team's offensive coordinator. He is a graduate of Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale."

somehow i got a very good feeling about this guy...

cheers, f
