According to DraftBible.Com, we signed CB Scorpio Babers of Sam Houston State. Babers measured 5'11 1/2" 192 pounds at the Scouting Combine. He ran a great 4.37 in the 40 at the combine.

When I first saw the title, I thought it said Scorpion Babes. I guess that shows where my mind is.... :D

He is really fast...........damn a 4.37 at the combine is nothing to sneeze at.Great name too......I can already hear the fans chanting his name and holding up pictures of scorpions, how cool would that be?

That's the bill parcells m.o. Get linemen, running backs and linebackers in the draft and get WRs and CBs as UDFAs

We're sure signing a lot of players from no-name schools: Georgia Southern, Portland State, Maine, Montana, Idaho and Sam Houston State.

BP would turn over a Perdue chicken plant if he thought they were hiding an athlete inside.

J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Sam Houston State CB Scorpio Babers worked out at University of Texas-El Paso's Pro Day March 7. Babers ran a 4.36 and a 4.37 40-yard dash, had a 33-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, four-inch broad jump. He measured in at 5-foot-11 and 191 pounds. Babers worked out with the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive backs coach."

It actually is your ex. I persuaded her to play...

So? The Giants woudln't have won the superbowl without their TE Boss, who comes from where? Western Oregon University....

This is old, from February after the Combines. Dude breaks down some of the prospects. Funny, funny stuff. Check his complete list out here:

Some gems (two 'cause they're funny, one cause it's Scorpio):
-------------------------------------------------------------
"6. Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU: Lingering health issues kept Dorsey from participating at the combine. But concerns that he's suffering from a massive sports hernia of his abdominal wall were dispelled by the discovery that it was just his gut hanging out.

8. Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois: Mendenhall is skyrocketing up most team's draft boards after an impressive combine in which he posted a 4.45 40. No other Big Ten player completed the 40 in less than 12 seconds.

23. Scorpio Babers, CB, Sam Houston State: Most teams rate him only a marginal prospect, but I believe Scorpio is passionate, determined, self-confident and highly imaginative."

How cool would it be if this guy made the team. I want to cheer for a player name Scorpio Babers!

He didn't say anything was wrong with it, just that we've been signing a lot of them.
