Yes I know this is not in the draft forum, but since this news that is developing as the day goes on and now that our season is over, I am posting it here for the time being.
The Dolphins, sadly, have finished the 2009 season with a 7-9 record. Not really what any fan expected or wanted, but granted we lost our starting QB early in the year, then went on to lose our starting cornerback, running back, nose tackle and inside linebacker, it wasn't all that surprising. Even with all these obstacles and the fact that Miami was down technically to their fourth QB in the final quarter of the season, they almost beat the defending Super Bowl Champions.
Now that the season is over, we turn to the offseason. Sparano may make some changes on his coaching staff, and Henning and Pasqualoni are the ones to watch. The other big question, is where will our Dolphins be picking in the draft this upcoming April?
Well, coupled with the Dolphins loss and other games, I can safely tell you that Miami will have either the #12 or #13 overall pick. Miami will be locked into one or the other once the Titans/Seahawks game comes to an end. If Tennessee wins, Miami will pick #12. If Seattle wins, Miami will pick #13. Miami loses tie-breakers with the Jaguars, Bears and even the Titans.
