“I’m feeling good,” he said. “It’s time I got back on the field; I’ve been off it for awhile. When I get another opportunity to get back on the field and show I can play football, that’s what I plan to do.”
While the Dolphins indicated Thomas missed the spring workouts due to a torn pectoral muscle he suffered lifting weights, Thomas insisted the muscle was never torn.
“It wasn’t torn. It wasn’t right, I’ll put it like that,” he said. “But it happened during the spring, it’s healed up nicely, and we should be ready to go for the season.”
Asked if he thinks the starting right guard job is his to lose, Thomas said he won’t take that attitude.
