It's a business. Many fail to see that. You cut Feeley, what happens? You lose money. I don't feel Feeley is the next big thing, but he hasn't had much experience. And you sit there and say how he needs to be comfortable in the pocket. Well how is he suppose to do that when he has little experience. I mean, you people expect too much out of him. I mean if we drafted Alex Smith and in his first season game he wouldda threw an interception and no touchdowns. You guys wouldda labeled him a bust and ponder on what we can get outta Smith from trade. Don't expect so much from Feeley, he's definetly no Dan Marino and we were very spoiled because of Dan, and our standards are too high, there isn't gonna be another pure passer like Dan for quite some time.

Alright...IF Gus did what he did against the starters....And Feeley looked worse than he did against the backups..It's not out of the blue. If somebody plays better and manages the offense better, they're better and are gonna get the call! That's 2 weeks plus practices that say he's looking better than Feeley! Look we are stuck with what we have. Ferrotte will be the starter and Sage the Backup. I wouldn't go out there and sign some the the has beens that has been talked about on this page. Unless Brees or Rivers becomes available I would just stay put. We are not winning anymore than 7 games this year surprize we are not going to the SB. Just sit back and relax. We knew from jump that AJ was a long shot. Ok now we know for sure he a BUST. Why go sign someother bum. ALERT if they not playing for anyone that means they s**k or their career is over. The worse one has to be Testeverdie come on guys and chill. Leave the QB position till next year.

Yeah tell that to the Rams when they took a shot on Kurt Warner.

This is starting to sound very much like the Fiedler vs Feeley threads from last year, only the Feeley backers are sounding like the Fiedler backers now.

Saban will name the starter, whom ever it is I'll trust him.

Possibly being the starting QB on Friday..before Sat's game...to him being possibly cut. Ive had it. AJ...you dont realize this..but some of these thread authors are the best marketing tool you have for the VIP room. These threads make absolutley NO SENSE AT ALL!!!

Fine Gus is starting....he played marginally better than AJ Sat. He didnt play any better than AJ in the first game. But..hey...he sucks..so lets cut him...or let Sage or Brock...take over the #2.

What exactly is Feeley's contract situation? Is it guarenteed in anyway, was he given a signing bonus? what is his base for 2005? It just seems to me that our other two QB's would be cheaper and just as effective.

I just got a painful answer to Feeley's contract numbers. We gave this loser a multi-year 18 million dollar contract. If we cut him before next year he will count 1.8 million against the cap, if we keep him 3.5 million against the cap. What a pathetic move by Speilman!!!!!!
