Best news I heard all week. MadDog quits because he won't drink the beer he's told to drink? Presidente? Has anyone ever heard of that being ordered in a bar?
What is this , Russia? Imean before the wall came down? I fully support MadDog's right to excercise his God given freedom to drink the beer of his choice.

ALLLLL RIGHT, MANDICH!!!! No, he quit "Sports Jam Live" on Channel 10. I hope he goes to Channel 6 and teams with Joe Rose. Channel 10 sucks for sports anyway...Does anybody really watch them?? Nobody tells the Mad Dog he can't drink Green Lizards!

Horrible for sports.
I loved the way Joe Rose was ripping them a couple of weeks ago when they didnt air any of the final round of Vijay/Tiger match that determined the #1 position.
He called out the news director and says that if it were up to him(the news director) he would not have aired the UM-FSU game that he wouldve rather aired more Hurricane Ivan coverage.

I never even liked Moe Howard Daviddd, but I think I'd still rather hear him than Hank. I know Hank's oldschool and knows wutsup with the Dolphins and everything, but he's just a little too old now and his show is JUST too slow and booooring!! I get a little depressed listening to him. His tired as voice and attitude make it pretty much unbearable to hear.

QAM has to have fat Hank because of his connections with ESPN. He is a big name. He draws ratings, especially with his pickems and betting stuff.

Same reason they paired Moe Howard David with Mandich to call the Fin games. Moe is a big national name....well known for his call of the Rams SB game "Dyson at the one..."

I heard a little differently about Mandich...That he quit not that he was fired after being confronted about drinking a Heinekin instead of Presidente. FREAKING insane...who the hell do they think they are that they can tell a man what kind of beer to drink? I am a BIG fan of Mandich. Hank, well, he's another story..but I have met him and sat in the same press box as him at one of last year's games...he's freaking hilarious in person...it looked like an episode of the Sopranos in there with all of those mafia looking Jersey dudes coming in and out of there talking to him.

I met Mandich back when the Dolpgins came up for a pre-season (I think it was pre) the year the Giants opened up Giants stadium (it was 76 or 77). He was a friend of a freind of my fathers, he got us tickets, got to meet him, try on his super bowl ring! (at that time it fit over three of my fingers), in fact the autograph picture he gave me is still over my computer with him catching a pass against the colts.

I will always remember that moment, I was always a Fin fan as long as I can remember (I'm 41) but that cemented it, he was great!
