Not mine! Don't remeber the year, but it was a Monday nighter (maybe a Thursday nighter?) Kozlowski returned 2 INTs for td vs Richard Todd, Duper alos set the single season record for yards in a season & it was gonna be my first Marino game, but he was hurt & I got to see the Stroker play....

(I may be mixing up a couple of different games, but i'm getting older now....)

 That's cool...I had season tickets for much of the Marino era, so I saw us beat the Jets a lot...and often.

And so it shall be once more...

When did you attend your first Phins game?

Name the decade (just like the poll on the front page of this site), the team the Dolphins played, the stadium (Orange Bowl/Dolphins Stadium), and who won.

For me it was the decade of the 70's, against KC Chiefs, in the Orange Bowl, and we beat them- a good beating (30-something to 7).

Im 17 and been following the Dolphins For awhile now. and TOMMORROW WILL BE MY FIRST LIVE DOLPHINS GAME W00t!! vs the panthers......;)

Mine was 1994 (or 93), Seattle vs Miami in Seattle. Miami (really Marino) wins the game in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter after trailing the entire game. It was in teh Kingdome, quite possibly the worst football stadium ever played in. But the game was great nonetheless.

The first live Dolphins game I was at was on December 15th, 1991 at the Murph in San Diego. That day was nice and sunny at about 74 degrees. That year the Chargers wore white at home all the time so the Dolphins were in aqua. On the scoreboard it showed that the Jets had lost a home game to the Patriots 6-3, so the Dolphins at 8-6 prior to kick-off had a chance to earn a playoff spot.
In the game itself, it started sluggish, 3-3 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the second quarter Dan Marino ran (yes shockingly ran) for a ten yard touchdown. However very late in the 2nd quarter the Dolphins defense was out of posistion on a play at their 20 yard line(they should had called a timeout), and Charger fullback Craig McEwan got got loose over the middle and caught a touchdown pass, leaving a 10-10 tie at the half.
The Dolphins scored on each of their first two second half possessions. However on the second touchdown, Pete Stoyonovich shanked the extra point by kicking it into the goalpost :yell: leaving the score at 23-10. San Diego scored early in the 4th quarter making it 23-17. On the first Dolphin possession of the 4th quarter, Junior Seau got around Richmond Webb on a blitz, blindsided Marino, caused a fumble that was picked up and returned for a touchdown, which put San Diego up 24-23 :yell: . On the next possession Marino was called for a grounding penalty :fire: , that under the current rules would not be grounding, which got Marino extremly upset and hurt field posistion. San Diego score easily on the next drive moving the score to 31-23. Marino threw a touchdown pass with about 2:10 to go to Clayton, but since there was no 2 point option then, the score was 31-30. On a 3rd down play Marion Butts did a sweep got past David Griggs and ran for an 80 yard touchdown to seal a 38-30 defeat.
I was in shock, numb, and highly depressed after the game on the long ride back home.

My God, the Kingdome was the worst. I saw a Mariners' game there once, with about 12,000 others...it was like watching a game in a mausoleum.

I'm glad it's gone, and we have two beautiful new stadiums in its place.

me and my dad went and saw miami at oakland, monday night i think it was in 1978/79 it was awesome, i was 14 back then, i haven't been to ahome game yet, this year will be my first, not sure who i want to go see, but i am waiting for ricky to get back, i want to watch him run, i'm a big fan of 34

I WAS AT THAT GAME TOO!!!!!!!

But they're right, it was two years ago. Wanny got boo'd bigtime cuz he ran the clock out after we got the ball back with about a minute to go. He got boo'd for playing for overtime.

That was Brian Griese's last game as a Starter for the Phins.

Yeah dude it was awesone. It was funny cause they had the "Are you there? Good!" guy there, and they had this hot *** song it was like "Run Ricky Run" in like the space jam theme. And to see Ricky leap over a defender was awesome.

Fan since 1973 but first game live was in Seattle last year. We lost (pick 6 by Feeley) but it was still an incredible experience. Couldnt believe how many finfans were there.

Living in South Dakota I have never had the chance to see a dolphin game in Miami. MY first and only time to see them was in Sept. 13, 1999 when they traveled to Mile High to take on the Broncos. It was the year after John Elway retired and I saw Marino school the Broncos new hot young QB, Brian Griese. Denver scored first but after that the Dolphins took control and never looked back.

The very first and only game was in 1993 when the Phins were playing Cleveland in Cleveland. That was also the day that doomed Miami for the season when Dan went down. I was sitting in the nose bleed section but I had a perfect view of the "play" and the following int for a touchdown by Cleveland. After the game there was some drunk guy standing there shouting "I called it right, he's out for the season". Yeah, he almost went over the rail that day.

The Phins have lost every Jets game a lot of people have ever been to.
Not me. My first game was in 75 against Denver. But my favorite game was against the Jets in the AFC Championship game (I believe it was 82'). A.J. Duhe had two picks and the Dolphin defense kicked butt.
