Marshall Faulk and I think Rich Eison just got done talking about the Dolphins on the NFL network. They had Vonnie Holliday on the show talking about his new contract and the Daunte Culpepper situation. He basically said that C-Pep is their leader and that he is the QB of the Fins. He then went on to say that in case he can't come back healthy, they need to address that position via the draft so it will also help our future. Once Holliday was done talking, Faulk then went on about how we should get Trent Green if C-Pep wasn't healthy. He said this because he felt THE DOLPHINS ARE A WIN NOW TEAM!!! Faulk believes that the Dolphins can win now and just need a QB to lead them and that's why he thinks our beloved Fins should trade for Green. It was only on for a couple of minutes but I thought it was awesome what they had to say. And for Faulk to think that we are a "win now" team, CamRam should be credited for all the hard work they have put in so far. Keep up the good work FO. GO FINS!!!

Now they are talking about the Fins and the draft. ALL FIN FANS SHOULD PUT IT ON NOW!!! They just said how we met with Jamarcus Russell and now are going to meet with Quinn.

This was the "State of the franchise" segment right?

No way we have shot at either of them unless we trade up. Which I wouldn't mind doing since we have more picks that we usually do. God hates Miami in turns of QB's. The year we could have had our man there was absolute garbage coming out of college. This year two great ones coming out and Miami is going to be like 4 picks to late. We need to doing something to get either one of these guys.

I know some are excited about Drew Stanton but he can't stay healthy. He had some really good games but he gets dinged up. Good QB but not in Maimi we've had some bad QB's since Marino retired it's time to get the guy we want.

they did say that trading up was a possibility if they liked their meetings with russell and quinn

Don't believe all the hype...the Dolphins are rebuilding whether or not you are buying it. A new coach, new philosophy on offense, new players, possibly a new QB under center....yeah...they are one player away from going all the way.:sidelol: Trent Green yet.:sidelol: A 37 year old QB running for his life behind that sieve line.:sidelol: The Dolphins better draft Jamarcus Russell in a trade up...say trade Daunte and our number one to the Raiders for the first pick in the draft. Plan B...draft Ted Ginn at 9 and then draft his teammate in the second round....Troy Smith, he is athletic and has a good arm.:D

From FOX SPORTS
Troy Smith
During the OSU-Michigan game, Kirk Herbstreit said he thought that Smith would be just like Drew Brees in the NFL.

I agreed.

In a December issue of Sports Illustrated, Peter King listed Smith as a top five prospect in the draft.

Once again, I totally agreed.

Since then, Smith hit the banquet tour after winning the Heisman. He was brutal against Florida in the title game. Perhaps the Heisman celebration, lack of focus and the Gators talent were the perfect storm for him.

Since then, he has gone from possible top 10 pick to not being able to sniff the first round.

In fact, many believe he has fallen out of day 1.

That's nuts.

While there are legit whispers in league circles about Smith's ethics, associates and attitude (he was suspended a few years ago for taking money from a booster), he was a winner in college. Smith can make every throw. And the proper arm angle negates the fact that he is only 6-feet tall on a good day.

Smith was 25-3 at Ohio State. And how many times did you see him play his best late in games? That's a phenomenal intangible.

If you are a club in need of developing a young quarterback for the future, I think Smith should still be on your day 1 board. His accuracy on the short throws will make him a perfect fit in the West Coast offense.

I don't agree about the West Coast Offense bit. He has a strong enough arm to be succesful in any offense.
