Merged: Fins Sign TE Sean Ryan

Former Jets TE. Kid has potential, he made a few outstanding catches last season.
 
Sean Ryan?
David Kircus (who i've actually heard of)?
Justin Smiley.....
Ernest Wilford (perhaps)?

Not exactly a "big splash" in free agency with all this cap room.
 
Former TE for the jets, drafted in 04 by dallas in 5th out of BC then traded fort a 7th to jets
 
Ireland and Parcells drafted him in the 5th round a few years ago. Typical Boston College guy ... tough, hard nosed and a good blocker. Not a threat as a receiver, but the Dolphins didn't have a good blocking TE on the roster. The 2 TE set is going to be a staple of Sporano's offense.
 
Come on down. Remember guys we need 3-4 TE's goinginto camp and let them battle it out. I expect Peele and rookie if their one available in the draft to make the team but their is nothing wrong with competition.

Early days yet. Players are visiting today who may be future Phins.

A few is right, thats the total amountof catches he had last season. Doesn't really seem like an upgrade for us. If we were going to add a TE I wish it could have been a receiveing threat.

1st day of FA .. can't expect them to sign all the biggest names right away. I love the signings so far, and we're saving big money for the guys that are worth it.

thats the same thing im thinking. tho Smiley and Wilford are good signings. with all the money we have, we need to get Pace, Briggs, Samuel, etc.
