Chan Gailey has emerged as a strong candidate for the Buffalo Bills' head coaching job, according to a team source and a league source.

Gailey, 57, has extensive experience as both a head coach and as an offensive coordinator.

He was head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 1998 and '99 and made the playoffs both seasons. He was head coach at Georgia Tech from 2002 through 2007, compiling a record of 44-33.

League sources say the Bills' head-coaching search could come to a quick conclusion … within a day or two &8212; and that Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is not going to be the choice for the job.

You know what, I can't really laugh to much, Miami almost hired Gailey as head coach in 2007. He was the leading candidate until somehow Cam Cameron blew the socks off the Dolphins during his second interview.

If we had any kind of offense last year, we'd have had 4 more wins.

Chan Gailey / Buffalo Bills

Ran across a thread on one of the Bills message boards and they are imploding at the new of Chan Gailey as their new head coach. Wow go from Cowher to Gailey, talk about a major kick in the nuts.:tongue2:

All the more reason Miami needs to be stout at the point of attack and solid up the middle of the defense. The Bills will be installing the "3 yards and a cloud of dust offense" and with them and the run-happy jets, we need to be able to shut that **** down.

Chan Gailey, didn't he coach in the AFL? BAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hope you like Canada Chan, you old a**!
