Frerrote KNOWS hes starting

I was really botherd to see that Frerrote says no matter what he will be the starter next season. He said he'll be working his butt off to be in here which i like, but come on Gus, you're just not that good. Please dont start this guy next year Nick

There's two stories on his comments. One of them included the remark, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I don't care what anyone thinks or who they bring in, I'm going to do what it takes and I'll be starting next year". If he's right, doesn't sound bad, does it? They bring in anyone and Frerotte is going to outwork and outplay them? Don't see how anyone could complain about that.

Well, if they are drafting a rookie (which is what he probably expects) then its pretty obvious that Gus will be the starter going into the season

Its nice to see him some fire at least. He's been fairly honest and blunt for his tenure here. I would expect him to make those comments. Thats what you expect your starter to say. He knows he's going to have to go out next year and earn it.

Ive never doubted that he'd go all out... I mean, he headbutted a wall...

Didn't AJ Feeley say the same thing, and the year before that Jay Fiedler?? I think if we don't upgrade the QB position this offseason we will be sorry, and if we do no way Gus beats him out.

so body better tell him that hes gus frerotte, and a can opener has a better chance.

Lets get that "Other" QB first before we worry about not starting Gus.

Frerotte had arguably the best season of his career this year with Miami. He had the highest TD total of his career this season. He knows the offense well. The only problem with him is his durability and consistency. He is not a long-term answer for Miami.

But right now, HE IS THE QB FOR MIAMI. That is a fact. It is his job to lose. I'm glad to hear that he wants to keep the role. That will make it harder for the new QB to take the job. It will increase competition and make for better play from whatever QB starts for Miami next season.

I expect Frerotte to start next season and for someone to take the job from him.

Gus probably will be the starter next season if no one the dolphins brings in manages to prove themselves worthy. He'll probably be battling it out with Lemon and Printers. I don't see anyone in free agency this year that would be a worthwhile upgrade and that includes McNair.
