not really related, but did any of you guys realize that Daryl Johnston was a closet Miami Dolphins fan?

i mean, i heard during last week's game, he was asked when he played for Dallas "how was it to play against your childhood team" (referring to when Dallas played Buffalo in the superbowls), and he laughed and said "Miami was always my team... people thought since i was from Buffalo, that invariably they were my team. not true. I was a Dolphin fan, man!" and he made a reference to Czonk and crew....

i thought that was pretty cool.... when's the last time you heard someone like the Moose make a comment like that? i mean, a guy from "America's Team" the stinkboys is actually a dolphin fan? heh, that was cool.

I also give honorable mention to Steve Tasker - a retired Special Teamer from Buffalo. He played on the Bills during their superbowl years - was a special teams maven.... he is an announcer for a LOT of our games, and despite being an arch enemy for so long, he always gives us props and respect... NEVER short changes us and is always saying "don't count the dolphins out".

but yeah, i have no idea who is commentating..... Johnston and Tasker wouldn't be a bad combo though. :)

I entirely agree. Simms is the absolute worst commentator in the NFL. He is as bad of a bandwagon hopper as anyone, and the number of times he cites himself and his own experiences is ridiculous. Try to tally how many times the guy says the name "Tom Brady" tomorrow and you'll need a new pen by game's end.

This doesn't deal with the game tomorrow and it's not a knock on your bball team, but I have to say that if I lived in Miami I'd think twice about hitting up a Heat game with that PA announcer yelling "DWYANE... (voice goes high pitched) ...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!!!!!!!!" every time the guy scores, which is pretty often. That's annoying even on TV. He's not really a commentator per se, but he's a guy that talks in a mic at a sports game, so close enough.
