Giants | No progress in talks with Arrington

Bob Glauber, of Newsday, reports talks between the New York Giants and free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) remain at a standstill. The Giants have not made any headway in talks with Arrington, who is said to prefer playing on the East coast.
 
KFFL also reports they will visit with Chad Brown.

Might they have given up?

Bob Glauber, of Newsday, reports while talks with free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) remain at a standstill, the New York Giants plan to bring in another outside linebacker to add depth at the position. Free agent LB Chad Brown (Patriots) is expected to visit with the Giants shortly. "We're going to talk (Thursday) and set up a visit," Brown's agent, Peter Schaefer, said Wednesday, April 5. "Chad is very excited about meeting with the staff. There are no absolutes or definites, but we'll see what happens."



OH GOD please let them sign Chad Brown! Arrington come home ..... Chad Jackson at 16 ! SuperBowl here we come
 
WHAT AN OFFSEASON IT WILL BE IF WE SIGN LAVAR. all we need is some GOOD DBs and miami will have home field advantage at the superbowl.
 
Chad Jackson is what we need. We have signed four DB's 3 which are young and are still developing.Poole is coming back from his Injury and before he injured himself they were saying great thing about him. If your sitting there at 16 and you have address all your position, you draft BPA. In my opinion it will be Chad Jackson....
 
Arrington will sign with the highest bidder.:tantrum:

Jackson will be picked by Denver at 15.
 
If we sign Lavar, our first round pick will be a WR or an OT... Becuase Justice's stock has risen, I see us grabbing whichever WR Denver doesnt take at #15 (likely Holmes). Hopefully, Denver takes a RB and we have our choice of the WRs.

Edit: It could also be a DT if somehow, the two top WRs are gone (maybe to Philly and Denver?)- Broderick Bunkley would be nice, but likely will be gone... In that case, I would try and trade down and pick Gabe Watson.
