Ginn is an amazing talent and anyone who says otherwise is in denial. His teammates injured him after running back the opening kick-off to the Championship game. If not for the injury he is easily a TOP 10 pick!!!! When scouts went to see S Holmes of the Steelers 2 years ago they came away talking about GINN!!! YES, he will take a while to get used to the Pro game........every fringin' body does!!! He has immediate value as a special teams player and if you don't think Cam has an end around play waiting for this guy your crazy!!! This guy will produce and it will show that we drafted the right pick at #9!!!:cooldude: I'll bet money he is a better pick than Quinn....PERIOD!!!!

Plus he ran a 4.3 at his pro day............with an injured ankle!!!!:bighug:

The guy has done nothing but produce!!!! He has already shown he can deal with THIS injury!!!:ninja:

Amen ... he reminds me so much of Santana Moss but better S/T ability.

While some complained about drafting the "Ted Ginn family," I was just grateful that we were able to draft John Beck in R2. Erstwhile, Ginn is going to be a kick returner to start the season, but I would like to see him develop into a complementary receiver. We won't know his true value as a 9th overall pick until we actually play some games. If he's Satana Moss or Devin Hester, then hooray for us. Heck, if he's more successful than Quinn, then I'll accept it.

You cannot compare him to Quinn. People will but you shouldn't. Ginn is going to take time to develop into a good WR. Quinn is adjusting to the pro game, while Ginn is still learning the nuances of the position. Just let the kid play before you start labeling him as "great" or as a "bust". Let the kid play the pro game before you draw conclusions wether they are good or bad.

I'm not comparing position player to position player. I'm merely saying that in the course of their respective careers, if Ginn is more successful than Quinn, then the critics who were harsh on Cameron and this team should take ease. My statements were merely hypothetical and in no way should infer anything critical of either player.

I can't wait for the season to start and watching Ginn running one back while the defenders are "grabbing air."

We can also slowly work him into his WR slot. Damn, I am so excited. :)

If Ginn can develop into a good WR in the NFL, then he will be well worth the 9th pick in the draft. We know that he will be a good returner, but its a question mark if he can be a good WR.

He freakin better! I had to be reminded of Brady Quinn today when I was in a bookstore. He was on the cover of Men's Health.

I disagree...I think you most certainly can and everyone will be comparing Quinn to Ginn for all of their careers despite playing different positions. Its the same as the Jordan/Bowie scenario for the Blazers in basketball. They played different positions yet is there anyone that would take Bowie over Jordan looking back on it? Absolutely not.

It could be the same thing for the Phins....everyone may one day look and say wow how would you draft anyone over Quinn, let alone Ginn. But that is for a very future discussion.

All I am saying is that these two players will always be linked by dolphin fans. And when it comes down to it, if they both turn out to be EXCELLENT players I would prefer the Franchise QB over a Franchise WR anyday!!!

In order to justify the #9 pick, he must be the #1 WR on our team. Now I don't expect that off the bat. But, he must work himself into the starting lineup by seasons end and take over the #1 spot next year. ANY team drafting a WR within the first ten picks doesn't envision a role player at KR, but a play maker at WR.

I would think it would be more of a Ginn, Quinn, Beck comparison. Considering we took Gin, and hoping that Beck would still be there. Now imagine this Gin becomes an ok WR not anything to yell about, Beck becomes an outstanding QB what would people be saying then?
