Glass Half Full..AFC EAST Blows and we are still only 1/2 game back.

No matter what happened in that pillow fight today (bucs weren't good, they were handed the game.) we are still only half a game out of first. This is what we expected of Holcomb, he plays well for a couple games then starts to completely suck. Kelly Holcomb will go into his usual slump throwing 5 ints per game which got him kicked off of every team he has been on. New England looks about as good of a team as UCF intramural squad, they have holes the size of an crackwhore. And the jets....well, i dont even need to go there.

Most of our problems are fixable, with Saban here and time to gel i really do believe we can fix most of them. I believe gus needs to be replaced, any QB that struggles to complete 50% in the nfl needs to be replaced. I don't care by who, try Sage, try Feeley, hell try Booker. The good part is Sage and kelly holcomb are about the same player, both streaky as hell.

I just stress this one thing though, WE ARE ONLY 1/2 A GAME BACK IN THE EAST!! No one would have believed it, after last year. We can actually pull this out. Don't lose hope yet.
 
I agree that the AFC east does blow. I bet Bills fans are feeling pretty good about themselves right now but Come on. I think both Matin and McGahee had 130 yds. rusing by the 3rd quarter. If you can't stop the run you will get KILLED by the good teams.
 
Can we please stop with the "we gave the game away" approach, it reeks of homerism. We lost because he Bucs exploited our weknesses and put up more points than us with backups no less. Get that, we lost to backups, and we couldnt move the ball against a very good D. Case closed.

I was there, the game would have been much much closer if we didnt shoot ourselves in the foot on every decent play we had. If we didnt start 1st and 15 every time we wouldn't have been in such a bad position in the game. We blew it and they took advantage of us killing ourselves. They played a terrible terrible game till the 4th quarter too, i felt like i was watching 2 paraplegic's in a kickboxing match and one just happened to fling his feet the right way and hit a death blow.
 
i do not really care about how far we are from first because right now we are not all that good. And I agree with the first post maybe it is time to try a different Qb.

We shouldn't be saying we are only a 1/2 game out . Because right now I see us in the cellar because we haven't won against divisional foes. Which counts more.

We still have all of the div opponents at home. I think we can take them in miami.

Lol, well....they do, their o-line isn't protecting Brady, their running situation is looking bad. Their D all around looks about as porous as ours.

I thought my paraplegic remark was much more :eek: ne ways.

very true. I think it's hilarious how the majority of fin fans were counting the bills out and saying they were a sure last place in the east. Funny how things turn around.

I was there too and I swear it seemed like we couldn't start a freaking serise unless we were at 1st and 15.. and if I were Wes Welker, i'd be mad as hell... he had at least 3-4 good runbacks that put us close to midfield and each time we had a penalty, usually holding that knocked us back to 1st and long and screwed the run back he delivered.. he's killing himself on punt returns for nothing.. i guess he's gonna feel like he just needs to go Dante Hall for a few games

Right now I have my doubt about who we can beat. Gus has been turning the ball over way to much. We are not moving the ball that well. And I still think the Patriots are going to be trouble whether they are struggling or not. They can and probably will still beat us. I thought we would beat the crap out of the bills we didn't . And the Jets now down to a 3rd Qb who has made a pretty good living beating us when he last played with the jets. Should give us reason to worry.

I wont even get into the non divisional foes because they will not matter until we can beat teams from our own division.

The thing is, we seem like a completely different team at home. That is the only real reason I have hope for this year still.
