Henne, the No. 57 pick and the fourth quarterback selected in 2008, signed his four-year deal in time to join his teammates for the afternoon session of two-a-days.
As far as “holdouts” go, it didn’t exactly make headlines.
Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland expects more of the same this year. But it’s not necessarilygoing to be easy.

With five rookies yet to sign before camp opens Aug. 2, Ireland is confident negotiations are going to pick up soon, likely stretching out in some cases until the 11th hour.

“We expect to get it done, for sure,” Ireland said Thursday in between the 12th and 13th hole at Doral’s Blue Course during Zo’s Summer Groover. “When we’re going to get it done, we don’t know that. It’s always a crunch.

“It’s like free agency, the agents and the general managers and salary cap guys, the sense of urgency doesn’t always meet.”
