I still love Jake Long pick but you would have to take Matt Ryan if there was a redo!!!!!

Per SI.com Don Banks, he thinks if the NFL draft were re-done now, the Fins would've taken Matt Ryan over Jake Long.

I think we're still a winner either way.

Thoughts? (I wonder if WVDolphan will have an opinion on this subject?)

Nah, i disagree. SI is stupid anyway, no one listens to them.

I'd pick J. Long over anyone else any day. He's been somthing we havent had here for a LONG time.

Thoughts? How about- I had no Idea WV wrote for SI.com

In my opinion- The limited time we saw Ryan in preseason with the dolphins most of us here would be calling for him to be traded for a 4th round pick after his 1 touchdown, 3 INTs and 5 sacks. He would look like a completely different QB with only 2.3 seconds to throw the ball.

This team needed a LT to sure up the o-line for years to come. Both Ryan and Long are franchise players, but no right handed QB can be effective without a LT watching his blindside, and we were able to get one of the best. Pennington was a great pickup also.

Actually its not such a bad idea. Pennington as QB and Ryan (after his position change) at OT

if penny with his weak arm can use our Wr then a better stronger armed QB can do WONDERs with this core. BUT the issue will be, would EITHER do what they are doing W/OUT Long at LT? i doubt it cuz last year we had 1.5 sec to throw the ball as opposed to this year.

Even if there was a redo I would stay with Jake. Matt Ryan is having success because of the all the talented players around him. If he was a dolphin right now people would be complaining because he would not be doing as well here. Miami made the right choice by addressing the oline need first.
