Browns finally give Hadnot a home
Just a few weeks ago, guard Rex Hadnot appeared to be the most attractive member of this year’s Dolphin free-agent class. He’s a versatile lineman who started all 16 games last year at right guard and every game at center the year before.
But the Dolphins didn’t want him back, and several other teams came away unimpressed during a series of visits. Ten days after hitting the open market with a belief he would be high on someone’s wish list, Hadnot finally has a new home.
Hadnot’s agent, Brian Overstreet, told The Palm Beach Post this afternoon Hadnot has agreed to terms with the Browns.
Terms aren’t yet known, but Hadnot had been looking for a four- or five-year deal at about $5 million per. He also visited the Texans, Titans, Steelers and Chiefs but came away without any offers.
Once again Rex follows in Seth McKinney's footsteps.
Gotta like what the browns are doing. Looks like they got him at a reasonable price. I wish we had hired Savage years ago when he was available. Great GM.
Yeah Savage has turned that team into a contender for many years to come. They have a great OL, very good Wr's, a Pro Bowl TE maybe even 2 franchise Qb's! I hate the Browns but you cant deny the abundance of talent they all of a sudden have.
I was pretty upset when we chose Mueller over Savage but oh well.
