Interesting enough, my dad turned 50 today. I guess being a displaced Miami fan in KY was destiny.
 
In today's NFL with the rules benefiting the offenses the way the do and running backs now being a dime a dozen and replaceable overnight, Dan Marino and the Miami football Dolphins would win UNLIMITED amounts of Super Bowls.

Saw him slinging it in the Madden game in NY and he still has that touch and zip on his passes!

Lead he team from behind to beat Kurt Warner's team!
 
Far from my favorite QB in the History of the game but happy to see he made it to 50.

Happy Birthday 50th Dan! I sure wish he could've won a championship, but he'll always be a champion at heart for most Dolphins fan...I hope. :D

Interestingly, this is a very emotionally important day for me as well. My paternal grandpa died 7 years ago on this day. My late paternal uncle would have turned 60 today, unfortunately he passed away last December. I got my first driver's license 13 years ago on this date. Finally, my nephew (my sister's 2nd child), turns 2 years old today! Funny how all that worked out!
