Merged: Harrington/Harrington Deal?

T

Harrington is a good athlete with a relatively strong arm and quick release. However, he has been a suspect decision maker during his four seasons after being the No. 3 pick in the 2002 draft. Furthermore, Harrington did little earn the respect and trust of his teammates with the Lions. He was considered extremely aloof and selfish. This offseason, he got himself dispatched from the Lions because he broke down in tears in from of new coach Rod Marinelli, claiming no one in the organization liked him. . . .

sorry if this is old, I hadn't heard it before

hilarious

never heard....

Never heard about him crying... but that`s the last thing we need.... a crying QB.
Any word on the arrington issue?

him and manny wright can......

ha jk, u knew someone would mention it

Manny Wright cried, lots of guys cry - you see it when they win and when they lose. The pressure on Harrington in Detroit must have been enormous - you can't really come down on the guy as you are not in his shoes.

Hopefully, he can regain the form and confidence that made him a top pick. If not, it was a 6th next year. But in Miami, the pressure is off - he is not the identified franchise qb and we did not throw a high round pick at him. He has talent and coaches surrounding him. I wish him well. Welcome Joey.

Joey is a crybaby. But he's great as a backup.

New place, new faces.....Fresh start. You see it over and over again. A player sucks on one team ....goes to another team and his career takes of running.

I'll still take him. I'm guessing it's pretty tough trying to be a quarterback in a (consistently) losing franchise. In the 35 years they've been around, the Lions have NEVER produced a good quarterback.

Any guy that denigrates another because he broke down under pressure is the real *****. At least, that's my opinion.

He was probably crying for the organization,

maybe they had sombody who actually gave a damn.

..if not, the Miami media will have this sixth RD trade bait for lunch..

Agree 100%

How many of you Dad's out there haven't almost choked up seeing your young boy emulate you...Hitting a home run, scoring a td, making the tackle. Emotions run high in people that are competitive!

come on. every young kid feels the pressure. and to be fair no one in the lions organization DOES or DID like him! i mean, he got benched for Jeff Garcia, who we all know is less than spectacular. no one in Detroit gave him any time to develop. it was all produce NOW NOW NOW! who could blame him?
