Huge Problems with this team

1) Secondary. It sucks for lack of a better word. Take away Madison (who won't be at this level much longer in his career) and we have nobody. If we aren't taking a QB in round 1 next year, we better take a corner.

2) Quarterback. Gus isn't the sole reason this team is losing, but he isn't a guy who can carry a team either.

3) O-Line. Get rid of all of them. Seriously.

4) Leinhan. Ricky and Ronnie and we are throwing the ball way too much. Great defense or not, we need to pound those 2.
 
...and we don't have a "great defense" so I wish fans, commentators, and analysts would stop saying it.

I agree. I'm not calling for that. Gus isn't the reason this team is losing games. The defense is and the offensive playcalling is. Penalties don't help either.

I agree. I meant playing a great defense or not we need to run run run run run the football.
 
My biggest problem with the secondary and defense in general, is the inability to get off the field on 3rd down.

It's prolonging opponents drives and leading to bad things.

i think we take the best defensive player on the board if we think brady quinn or some other good qb will be left in the 2nd round.

agreed our defense is herrendous. we have all the talent on D but we cant sop the offense
 
Secondary-- we are probably average. Schulters came close to a nice pick in the endzone. We are ok here.

Quarterback-- Gus played ok..nothing special and no picks returned for TD are always a plus.



O-Line--- played ok pass protection..much improved..except this game they did give up 4 sacks... did give Gus time to throw....holding calls hurt though



Leinhan--thought he mixed up good. hard to run on the #1 defense in the league.. like the reverses and long bombs...


overall i think we played fine...expect for the penalties..

We were 4-12 last year.....we are 2-3 so far.

Yes, we have holes. If anyone didnt think we did then they didnt honestly assess the hand that Saban was dealt.

We will get better, additional changes in personnel will occur. But the coaching staff is the answer. What they are teaching is going to help those that stick here and will improve those that come here.

Saban & staff are more of the answer to our problems, then they are additonal problems to the answers we were looking for.

Saban is fine, give it time.
 
I am so sick of the offsides and defensive holding calls...and ALL THE 3rd DOWN CONVERSIONS we give up that I am not lying when I say this guys....I have a metal stool that I use as a "table" next to the sectional...and that things is beat to hell and dented up from beating the crap out of it.

I take this too damn seriously...but in life I am one who can't stand folks without common sense...and our defense falls into this to a T!!

all of the talent on D? Aside from Zach, JT, and Sam where is the talent?

Seau is washed up.

Holliday, Carter, and Traylor were free agents for a reason. They are "shot" players who are about to be out of the league in 2 years.

Rookies like Roth, Daniels, and Crowder are still ??????

And guys like Schulters and Tebucky are just journeymen types.

There is no talent on D. That is the problem.
 
how can you blame linehan for throwing to ricky and ronnie when we have no oline. Seems smart to me with such a terrible offensive line as we have.

Nobody is ripping Saban or his ability. Just pointing out the areas that need work.
