I Have No Problem With Fiedler

Many Dolfans hate Jay Fiedler. Some are hoping that Fiedler plays against us this Sunday and our defense takes his head off. Fiedler will always be known as the guy who took Dan Marino's place and became the most hated sports figure in South Florida.

I have no problem with Jay Fiedler. He was a class guy who played his guts out for us. He can't help it if he has a noodle arm and played for an inept coach. I never really thought he got a fair shake here. To me, the blame always fell on Wannstedt. Fiedler only did what Wanny asked him to do.

I hope we can show some class and not berate him. I personally thank him for the sacrifices he made for the Dolphins. All you can ask from somebody is their best. I really think Jay gave us his best. It was up to Wanny to decide if Jay's best was good enough.
 
I thought he was classless and rarely took responsibility for his play.
 
I knew this would happen. Dolfans are never going to let up on Fiedler. I don't think Fiedler's teammates felt the same way you do. You only know what you read in the media. Most coaches and athletes hate to give interviews and never tell us the whole story. I don't remember a single time Fiedler put his teammates down. He always handled it with class.
 
i'd love nothing more than to see J taylor tee off on FEEFEE's head. sorry but im not gonna lie
 
Cmon I could play for the Phins and give it 'my best shot'. Fiedler held this team back regardless of what Wannestadt or anyone would have you believe. He was terrible. I don't hate the guy, I wish him the best of luck as long as he isn't playing against us.
I dont buy into this "everyone hates him because he replaced Marino" stuff. Fans arent that stupid for the most part. Yea there are some out there but Ive never thought for a second that we would replace Marino with another HOF player immediately. All Fiedler had to do was handoff to Ricky and NOT f it up, thats not asking for the next Marino, its just asking someone to do the bare minimum, he couldnt do that.
 
I posted this somewhere else but I fear the fiedler way more than pennington 3rd highest winning percenage amungst active Qb's over the last decade. more brains and heart than talent, yea I fear the fiedler! so bring on chad and zach & Jt can rip him a new one.

people always said he had class, when did he show class?

He tried his hardest? So did Wanny. Yet the same people who want to say "Feidler tried his hardests" are the same people who bash Wansteadt.
 
I think this brings up a good point. Many of us bash people who do not perform up to our (the fans HIGH expectations) which is wrong. A lot of people,including myself, say these things out of emotion which is understandable. But, I hold no grudges against Fiedler or Wanny because they gave it everything they had and their intentions were to succeed, not to fail. Maybe they didn't have what it takes, but thats not their fault. I wish Jay and Wanny the best of luck and hope they do well where they are at. I think it's time to move on from that era and not hold any ill will towards these guys because their intentions were to succeed. Just my opinion...
 
There is a big difference between Wanny and Fiedler. Fiedler gave everything he had and never produced enough for us to be satisfied. You don't berate someone because their best wasn't good enough. However, Wanny could have replaced Fiedler or changed the offense anytime he wanted to, but didn't.

Most sports fans around the country think we're nuts anyway. We won, on average, 10 games a year in the Fiedler era and that wasn't good enough. I was very happy to see Wanny and Fiedler go, because even if we did a lot of games, I couldn't stand to watch our team. It was boring, boring, boring.

We should have closure with Fiedler. He gave us everything he had and he always had the best intentions. What else could he do? I really think we're classless if we still berate him. It's time to move on.
