Right now the division leaders are

Indy 9-0
Ravens 7-2
Denver 7-2
Pats 6-3

The race for the wildcard

San Diego is 7-2 - pretty much a lock right now to end up w/ the wildcard them or Denver whoever doesnt win the division

Jets 5-4- there remaining schedule:

1. vs. Chicago.............. I think theyll lose Chicago wont drop another to the AFC East they looked very good against the G Men last night

2. vs houston................... I see the Jets winning this one with ease

3. @ Green Bay ........................... with it being December i think the Pacjkers will win this matchup

4. Bills,................... Close game but i think the jets will win

5. @ Viking......................... I think the Viks will win with them being at home

6. @ maimi........................theyll lose b/ Miami OWNS

7. Oakland.....................Jets win big

So when its all said and done the jets i think we'll have the record of 8-8



The Bengals are 4-5 there remaing schedule looks like:


@ Saints........................thinks this will be close but i think the Sints will be more ready b/ of the lose to the steelers yesterday so i think the Bengalks will lose

@ clevland.................... benaglas will win this one but it will be closer than wat ppl think

Ravens......................... Ravens win big

Oakland,................... Cinci should just walk all over oakland b/ their not a very good football team

@ indy........................... I hope its a win for Cinci but in all honesty i think the Colts will win

@ Dencver.................. I see Denver winning at ease especially b/ its at home

Pittisburg.................. I see Cinci winning this one late in the game

So Cincis record i think will turn out like this: 7-9

The onyl gme i could see us losing is the Colts game. I dont think we'll lose to the Pats again
 
This is not impossible despite what the pessimists think and besides, if the season is really over and we're not going to win more than 5 games, why can't we atleast enjoy the thought of a miracle comeback season? For yet another week, the dream is that much closer to becoming a reality.
 
And the other teams contending for a wildcard spot dont have very good recards and arnt very good teams

I got an idea and it will save you time too. How about focusing on the Vikes and Vikes only, that's all we need right now. The rest will take care of itself.

Indy could be playing the waterboy at that point...hopefully they will have homefield locked up and they have already lost a game.
 
The toughest thing will be to finish with a 10-6 record. I personally think a 9-7 record could get into the WC. But, I don't believe a 9-7 record for us would get us in because our AFC recrod isn't great, unless we'd lose to either Minnesota or Detroit, but who wants to lose to those guys?

I think the New York Jets are in the driver's seat for the WC, heck they might make a run at the Division. Other than playing Chicago next week and playing at Green Bay in December, where the weather could be brutal, their schedule shapes up pretty well.

The biggest factor for us is that we play almost every team that we have to go through that is a playoff factor--NY Jets, Jacksonville, and just beat KC. So that's important for us. I wrote something like this last week, and like I said before, this all becomes a moot point really if we lose to Minnesota.

we could tie the chiefs at 9-7 and still get in now, so another loss isn't the end of the world.
 
The only thing that ticks me off, is when people praying for things to happen such as this end up making comments about losing games on purpose for draft possition. It always happens when a team has little chances.

As soon as it goes from miraculous chances to mathmaticaly eliminated, I always see ******ed posts about losing the rest of the games to get a better draft spot.


Just ranting.
 
Nothing is impossible in this league. Unlike some on this board, I would prefer that we win rather than lose.
