Merged: Interesting read on Cameron/Brown

thanks i thought the part where it states how often he breaks one 20 yards or better was better than guys like LJ in kansas city and Mcgahee in Buffalo was pretty interesting

God I wanted Levi Brown so bad for Brown. Would have made things so much easier for him.

Speaking of Willis McGahee just waited on him really laid back kool guy, when I told him I was a Dolphins fans he laughed cause I said you always kill us.Cause one of his friends were saying how he kills them and Willis pointed out that his friend was a Jets. Both seemed like hunble guys.If your wondering where I saw them MGM Grand,Las Vegas they were in town for the fight so I see and meet a lot of celebs.Just remember Charles Barkley awesome tipper very friendly and Tiger Woods is not very friendly at all and just recently started tipping. I've met one Dolphin here Wade Smith other and Daunte but he was still with Minnesota it was right after he got hurt that off season. Oh for any hockey fans Wayne Gretzky is the coolest guy funny as hell also.

Interesting stuff dude.....sometime go to the Lounge and spill all the non-football celeb stuff. Would be interesting to read.

interesting would we draft a back in 08 with the #1 pick if things don't work out? I think if we are a bad team it won't be lack of talent in the backfield, it would be the line's fault.....the last sentence in the article is a little out-there

I think Brown would be damn good if he got down to about 225. He wouldn't lose power and he'd be even faster and quicker.

When we drafted Brown @ 2 and he got the 20 million dollar signing bonus I thought: " truly a fortunate young man". But the criticism this guy has gotten because of his #2 selection is almost equal that! (LOL) It's amazing how people forget how bad the 2005 draft was! After a year in the wilderness and weighing 190, Ricky was a major, major question mark. We were desperate for a running back! Ronnie had an excellent college career but his college head coach said Cadillac Williams was a better running back! But then Ronnie ran a 4.43 weighing 232 at the combine and his draft status soared. Hindsight says we should have taken Frank Gore but Gore had both knees reconstructed showed very little his senior season and was not particularly big or fast. Gore always had the potential and coming out of Coral Gables High School, he was an electrifying runner and even flashed some as a true freshman for the Canes, but he was a major, major injury risk.

So Saban loved SEC guys and remembered Ronnie running over his secondary so he took him @ 2. Two years later and compared to the other running backs taken in the top 5: Cadillac & Benson, Ronnie looks pretty good. If not for injuries, Ronnie has been a very good runner and with a real offensive minded coach and a line that can block a little bit, Ronnie will be fine if he stays healthy. But we sure love to criticize him.

I cant wait for ricky and ronnie to be on the field again together, along with chambers, ginn, and hagan......were gonna put up some points this year.

If we were to end up at the top of the 2008 draft, it would be hard to pass on Darren McFadden...and I'm a fan of Ronnie Brown

Truer words have never been spoken.

it pisses me off when i here people say that he's a bust and yet he averages more then 4 yards a carry and he ran for more then 1000 yards last year and he didn't play for three games.

Today 1000 yards just does not cut it.

Ronnie Brown has not had a coach yet with the Dolphins who knows how to best utilize his abilities and now he has. Ronnie Brown has not had a decent offensive line to compliment his running skills and they are working to improve that. Last year it seemed like he could only run behind the right side of the line and that makes him too predictable and easy for the defense to defend against him. Ronnie Brown has been a good back and he will be even better with Cam running the show and that is JMO.
