Randy Mueller is staying as the Dolphins' general manager.
A candidate for the Tennessee Titans' vacant GM job, Mueller is not among the three finalists that the club picked to interview a second time with owner Bud Adams.
Mueller did not interview with the Titans, and that is the primary reason he is no longer being considered.
Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga is expected to confirm today that Mueller will remain with Miami. Huizenga, along with coach Cam Cameron, is scheduled to meet with the media this afternoon.

good stuff, good stuff....the best part is he didnt even interview for the job..

he knows the kinda guy wayne is.....he never fires anyone

In the totality of it all, I'm indifferent.

Sure, the immediate future would be turmoil for the upcoming draft if he left. But, I don't care how much money is spread around. Eventually, ego's get in the way. He's got a big one.

Goes along with what 790 said Wednesday night. The article says that Wayne will address the situation later today at the London PC. Hopefully he will mention that he signed an extension. Though he is staying as of now, team's GM spots open up all the time. We will never be fully safe with Mueller until he signs that extension.

Wayne also pays alot of money for his staff too...which is a nice way to pick up the best of the best coaches and staff.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement is it. Sure, the article said that Mueller would be the GM, but it didn't exactly sound like they were thrilled about it. And of course, it wasn't a contract extension either. Kind of interesting. But like 790 said, Wayne will address that later in the year.

790 said later this week, not year.

Echo Nathan's sentiment above. Good simply for the turmoil the Mule's exodus would generate, but I'm not impressed with the guy.

This may end up being the best offseason move the Dolphins have done in 6 years!!
