MERGED: Jake Long hurt? Drops out of Pro Bowl

With the Pro Bowl being played in the stadium in which Dolphins tackle Jake Long plays his home games, the prospects of playing in the Pro Bowl aren't all that appealing to Long.

And so it's not surprising that Long has pulled out of the Pro Bowl, due to an injury.

His spot will be filled by Jets tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

The game is still three weeks away and he is pulling out for an injury. My goodness, I hope it isn't serious.

yeah its not a big deal I would hate see him get hurt in a meaningless game like the Pro Bowl he made it that's the important part

Probably just an ingrown nail on his pinky toe. The guy just has to much to lose and nothing to gain by playing in the game.

He obviously just doesn't wanna play. The game is in Miami and not Hawaii, so the whole pro-bowl feel is really gone. Its like going to work for another day after a lot season when you don't have to risk injury or work for no reason. jake has a ton of money he doesn't need a couple extra bucks.

I doubt he's hurt, guys only went to the Pro Bowl in the past b/c it was in Hawaii. Long plays in Miami so the allure of getting a trip there isn't great.

Yeah, if Brick played in the NFC, he would've easily made it in. It's just the AFC has most of the best OTs in football, so Brick gets left out in the cold.
