Dolphins | Sparano says team will revisit Taylor possibility
Tue, 12 May 2009 15:53:25 -0700
Karen Guregian, of the Boston Herald, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said the team will revisit the possibility of signing unrestricted free-agent DE Jason Taylor (Redskins) now that the draft is over. "Yeah, we're talking. When I say 'we,' it's myself, [general manager Jeff Ireland] and [executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells] have talked about Jason and had several conversations about it. We'll revisit it now that the draft is over and we're getting ready to look down the road at OTAs here pretty soon, so we'll revisit it again and see where we are," Sparano said.

What that means in Tony speak is that we have NO interest in signing Jason Taylor.

Well usually when Tony says something its no nonsense, so I really think we are contemplating Jason Taylor to some extent.

And you know this how??? Personally I am not so sure I would want the Pats to get him. And we really couldn't pursue him before the draft because we may of had to give back picks to Skins. They could be talking about terms of a possible contract . Talk could be anything. And we could always use him in some sort of capacity.

I have a question, how can the Boston Herald got this information and not any Florida papers, what's going on Mando.

I would love to see him back. I mean even if it's to mentor Wake. I'll allow it.

Having to give a pick or picks back to the Skins was never an eventuality (or even a possibility). The story was an April fools joke.

Because the hot rumor is JT doesn't want to sign a contract until July to avoid any off season training program. That won't fly with BP.
