MERGED: Jets want Cutler

I think that would be a smart move by the Jets. Having very good personel already in place on the defense and a steady O-Line. If they did a deal of a 1st and a 3rd then they would still have a shot in the 2nd round of grabbing a WR.
 
by trading away cutler the broncos will become the jets a team with no qb
 
If the Jets were the only team willing to deal, I'd ask for the 1st and 3rd (as mentioned) and then sign Jeff Garcia to a 2 year deal.
 
Why would anyone sign Jeff Garcia? He's like 83 years old and the only person that wants him is Jon Gruden

Last time I checked Jon Gruden is wearing a comfy suit and working with the NFL Network

Well Chris Simms is the backup in Denver. The only guys worth a damn left in FA is Leftwich and Garcia. The Jets don't have any QBs to send back to Denver so unless Denver drafts a QB and starts him right away, going the route of taking a veteran is their only other option.

I really don't see Denver trading Cutler now that McDaniels is trying to be his buddy, but stranger things have happened.
 
They should want him, but I like it better that they don't have a proven QB
