MERGED-"Joey Harrington has earned the right to start in 2007" - Steve Young

I think a more accurate statement would have been: "Joey Harrington is the best QB on the Dolphins' roster." He hasn't earned the start...he's only proven we lack a starting caliber QB. Still.

stupid. you dont earn the right of playing the next year unless youve played good the whole year.

joeys had about 3 good games max.

caretaker QBs will never earn a job long term. (cept if wanny is the coach)

Yea I heard it as well! Prepare to get flamed though

Even if you see it as only 3 good games, thats still 3 more than what Culpepper had.

Hey, not saying I agree, or disagree. Just heard it, found it interesting that a guy like Steve Young would say that... Thought I'd throw it up here for discussion

Daunte sucks and I don't want him playing next season Joey should be the starter and he has earned it.

He's been nothing more than a decent backup. I'm sorry, he has made critical mistakes in several of our games. That statement makes me wonder how much of Joey's games Young has really watched.

Personally I think Culpepper will be he guy next year, but if not then we better bring someone in with a 1st or 2nd pick. Harrington is not a starting caliber QB, and I don't buy any of this late bloomer crap.

Hmmm.....Listen to Steve Young a HOF qb or listen to a bunch of fans who are on Daunte's bandwagon I'll go with the HOFer.

Oh I agree with Steve Young, it's just that your not allowed to say anything good about Harrington around here. else you get flamed

Regardless I am looking forward to seeing what Harrington can do with a full season, and proper preperation in TC and preseason.

If you equate his first three games to a TC/Preseason with the first teamers then the kid has the Phins at 5-1 right now against some very good teams.

Makes you wonder where we would have been had he started the season this year.

i agree with him. i would have no problem if he came into camp as the starter next season.
