I don't think his age will matter much, if he works out well for us, who knows he could pull a favre and be around when hes 40+

here's hoping he's still playing for us that long!
 
I hope he is the next Drew Brees because that dude is gonna haunt us forever!
 
Love the highlights.

What I like most. He doesnt seem like a ****y guy, good kid with a good head on his shoulders. Very versatile player. I like what he brings to the table.

HE doesn't have to take something off of his throws to maintain his accuracy, that's a seldom mentioned asset. I believe the focus was on more than just a great gun. I have also focused on his natural ability to forsee the open window and then put it there--that's what coaches can't teach and that's why Quinn was not selected by our FO. I honestly don't think Russel will be a very accurate passer in the pros either. He'll definiteyl make plays--but more like Vick.

I think the focus on his arm strength and throwing speed is that the media and a lot of others say he has a below average arm--the same they say for Quinn, which is true. I don't think his (Beck's) receivers would agree and he has also worked on dragging his toe on the follow through to take some heat off his passes. I think we are getting a very contolled/accurate strong armed gunslinger with intelligence and poise for the next level. A quick release and a bullet through the air is the difference between a first down or a pick 6 at this level. I think we finally have someone who can get the ball to the outside without watching it go the other way.
