Browns WR Josh Gordon was arrested in Raleigh, N.C. for DWI – driving while impaired, according to Raleigh police captain Tommy Klein.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer 26m

Josh Gordon had 87 catches for 1,646 yards and nine TDs in 14 games as a 22-year-old receiver last fall.

Josh Gordon leading NFL in receiving yards in '13 gonna be a random trivia question in 10 years. "Who?"

:rolleyes2:

Was already facing a one year ban.
Could have been one of the best. Glad the Dolphins didn't get him, enough bad press already.

This is why character matters in the NFL

Now, how many of you CRIED real tears that we didn't go after him?? Admit it, there were 100 of you hating on us for not getting this waste of a roster spot.

Character matters, once a loser, ALWAYS a loser. I'm looking at you Manziel and Wilson, err, Winston.

You're wrong. It happens that someone goes out, drinks bit too much and gets caught. You people act like you're innocent and have never done wrong. Give me a break. Get off your high horse. I have driven tipsy at times and regret it. However, I learn from my mistakes. Get over yourself. They made mistakes, it's not unforgiveable.

I feel for this kid, he obviously can't help himself. He has mental issues, and needs help. Most would think it would be common sense to stay out of trouble coming off the third most productive two seasons by a WR in NFL history (Behind Moss and Rice) and on the verge of a lucrative contract...the kid is an incredible player, hopefully this isn't the end of his career. I'm pulling for the guy. No one should be cheering his downfall, unless you are insecure with your own damn self. I hope he recovers from this and has a good career in Cleveland. He has too much talent and potential to flush it all down the ****ter.

Josh Gordon might be the dumbest person on the entire planet.

I agree with the OP that character matters a great deal in the NFL. Teammates and coaches are depending on you to pull your load. If you are suspended you can not do that. I do not agree that people can not change (Always a loser). Hopefully he will wise up and get the help he needs.

Hopefully he will realize what he is losing and get some help, before it is too late, if it's not already too late.

...because the dolphins are choir boys. Did we recently have someone suspended for PEDs? At least Gordon is productive.

By that astounding leap of logic, its okay that the Pats cheated because they have won some Super Bowls?

What exactly is Gordon productive at? The only times (note the plural) I hear his name is when he needs legal representation.

That will be nothing but a footnote in a few decades and if we did the same thing and won SBs I'm pretty sure there would just be crickets about it around here.

This is one of those "huh" kind of posts.

I don't remember a fury of interest in the guy.

He was picked in the 2nd round of the supplemental draft.

Rookie yr = 5 tds / 2nd year = 9 tds. That's not bad at all. Not exactly a waste of space.

You got an issue with drunk driving - that's understandable ... but I'm not following the connections.

Let me know when driving while impaired on PEDs kills a average of 28.5 people a day.

Yeah and nearly 1,700 yards in his second NFL season. It just pisses me off that this dude can't see what a gift he has and can't stop doing stupid ****. One day when he's older he's going to look back at this time and wish he changed something.

Never driven after so much as a sip of booze...and I'm 45. Everybody makes mistakes, sure...but there are varying degrees of mistakes...and this one is pretty heavy compared to many.

He looks pretty stupid from where I sit...on my pony.
