hes a free agent now i think da fins should get him since we have no play makin corners, wudda u guyz thnk?
 
chea will allen sux balls n andre goodman has been injuried travis daniels isnt a starter so ya iim pretty sure
 
Um. Yes, they do have "decent" corners.

Travis Daniels, Will Allen, and Andre' Goodman are pretty solid, and Jason Allen could surprise.
 
Whats so special about Herndon? If you watched him last season you would know he gave up a lot big plays and was nothing more than mediocre. He's also over 30, coming off of an injury, and on the downside of his career. No thanks.
 
If the guy still has some game and his cap number isn't too bad, the depth woudn't hurt us at all. We all know Goodman's dinged up a bit.

Does anyone out there know the true extent of Goodman's injury?
 
Goodman will not be ready for the start of training camp. Already, for me, thats an issue. We all remember our CB injury problems last year, with guys like Michael Lehan getting way too much playing time. I dont think depth is a bad thing at this point.
 
I think some of you are really overestimating the talent we have at corner. When healthy, Travis Daniels is our best CB, and ideally, he is a nickel corner. Will Allen is ok but he continued his inability to make plays from his days with the Giants. Andre Goodman is pretty good with some very good speed, but his size is a problem, plus he is injured. Hopefully, Jason Allen can make the transition to corner and become a productive player. I know a lot of the calls Saban designed were confusing in their similarities to players, which would explain some of the awful breakdowns in coverage we had last season. I REALLY hope the guys we have now can step it up. Otherwise, the secondary will be the weak link in our defense (as it was last year).
 
That would be a move Nick Saban would make. Right now I think corner is one of our worst positions in terms of strength at the top. But we do have some depth and will definitely have some competition in camp. Just let the 4 we have battle it out for the starting spots. I saw a lot of Herndon last year living up here in Washington and I wasn't all that impressed.

Are you Herndon's agent?

Seattle wants to bring him back in a backup role.
 
We have decent corners who can stop the run but can't do much in terms of playmaking (i.e. Interceptions). Herndon won't provide anything that we need.
