Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports the Chiefs are "working" to trade RB Knile Davis.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Davis requested a trade weeks ago. After signing both Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware to extensions Thursday, there is no room on the roster for Davis. An inconsistent back with serious fumbling issues, the Chiefs would do well to land a late-round pick. On the bright side, Davis will not be 25 until October.

Could be a fit... Thoughts???

Team working on a trade for kniles Davis

West and ware just signed contract extensions. Word out of kc is they have been working with another team on a deal to trade knile Davis and guess who they mystery team may be.
 
Better be a 6th or preferably 7th rounder...id rather have him than Arian foster

You give up a 4th you are getting hosed...I could also see him being cut and you can sign him for no draft compensation

reads to me like this is a last ditch before cut effort by kc
 
Wouldn't mind this move but I f***ing hope we would only give up a low pick

Have you actually heard the Dolphins linked to Davis, or is this just speculation on your part?
 
Meh. 3.3 YPC in his career behind a pretty good Chiefs line. Giving up a pick for that......I would rather wait for cuts if you want a vet so bad.
 
No need to spend anything on this guy. Chiefs aren't carrying 4 rb's on their roster, all of which are capable of starting. He will be a June cut I would imagine. No need to get anxious and do something stupid when we have our supposed starter already on the roster.
 
Exactly as others said ... Why trade for a guy that's about to get cut?
