MERGED: La Canfora: Gruden is Ross' main target

Gruden might just be our guy. I still remember the rant he went on during our game v.s the Pats. He didn't hesitate one bit to let everyone know what he would do with this team. It was exactly what you would want your next head coach to say. We should all be ecstatic if chucky is our guy.

Unfortunately we seem to be cursed. I'm not sure good things can happen.

gruden would be an entertaining choice.


i like his messed up way of doing things. he's motivated and gets attention.

I think he's pointing out the fact Gruden's dong is bigger than Sparano.

I still prefer Cowher though, but Gruden would definitely be #2 of the big three.

I'd also prefer Cowher, His teams ALWAYS have a good running game and a good, attacking defense.

Maybe the big thing after NFL record and experience is Desire. Bill Cowher would be the fair and away big front runner for me but the question is, does he want to be a NFL Head Coach again?

This is the reason I like Jeff Fisher, he wants to coach again and importantly has not been out of the game long. Jon Gruden however is also a good one. We are kind of lucky in that at least 3 good NFL Head coaches are there.
 
If Gruden is named coach he'll have to start with the basics

I know it generally doesn't make much sense to fire a HC after 4 games but I think this is the exception. If Ross has his mind made up pull the trigger, let Chucky have 12 games to look over the team.
 
i'd like the gruden move. although im sure this is pure speculation - you have to wonder about chuckie's comments during that pats/fins game. we all heard it and we all thought the same thing about it . . . .

this guy also knows talent, and i am sure he will evaluate every player and keep our best young guys and im sure he'll go get his qb thats why i like this move.

THAT GRIMACE HAS A SUPER BOWL RING. It runs an offense that hasn't ever worked with any consistency or high degree of success at the college level. He'd probably put his brother as offensive coordinator. ARENA BALL IS WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR HERE HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MUCH THEY SCORE? THIS GUY just knows he'll be a success because he's got negligible college coaching experience and THAT'S JUST WHAT MIAMI NEEDS! Have you seen his thighs? THIS GUY'S GOT SOME REAL STOVEHORNS I TELL YA. He hasn't recruited at the college level since 1989 BUT LEMME TELL YOU HE FLASHES THAT SUPER BOWL RING AND IT'S OVER.

What's changed is he's only paid by Tampa through this year I believe.
