MERGED: Larry Allen Signs With 49ers

Good pick up for them. Sucks, I would have liked to see him here for a season or two.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports free agent OG Larry Allen (Cowboys) signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers believed to be worth between $4 million and $5 million per year. The deal is contingent upon Allen passing a physical and then signing the contract.

Ya, I don't know why he would want to go to the sorry 49ers other than the money. They stink.

Because he's overpaid, overwieght and overhyped yes he used to be an all pro but not anymore even my dad wasn't upset and he's a diehard dallas fan.

I was hoping we would pick him up for 1 year but not close to the $$$'s SF is going to pay him. He definately will help Alex Smith along. This was a good pickup for the 49ers.

Larry Allen has a home in the San Fran/Oakland area. Adam Schefter was talking about it on Total Access. In that regard, makes perfect sense.

:yeahthat:
Larry Allen is a stand up player, he's not in it for the money. Consider it a ride off into the fog rather than the sunset.

I thought we would have showed interest in him but we never did. But you look at the signings thus far and all the guys Saban has brought inhave been young

Good Lord that's alotta money for a old out of shape guy.
